Family pet believed dead after Madisonville fire
A family pet is believed to have died in a house fire in Hopkins County.
That's according to our media partner, the Madisonville Messenger.
It happened Monday afternoon on West Noel Avenue in Madisonville.
Kris and Venus Fox were able to escape the blaze with two of their three dogs.
The third pet has not been found.
Fire officials believe the house is a total loss and the cause may never be known because of the extent of the damage.
It took about two and a half hours to get the fire under control.
Some Hopkins County school busses had to be rerouted around the scene.
The American Red Cross is helping the family.
