Employee charged in pawn shop jewelry theft | Crime
An employee of a Madisonville pawn shop has been arrested for theft after more than $10,000 in jewelry was taken from the shop.
Our media partner, the Madisonville Messenger, says 50-year-old Henry Humphrey has been charged with theft by unlawful taking.
He’s accused of stealing gold and silver jewelry while working for Park Avenue Jewelry and Loans and selling most of them to Cashland.
Police were called last week and an investigation centered online pointed to Humphrey, who detectives say committed the thefts over several months.
