Stabbing suspect indicted
A Hopkins County man is indicted for first-degree assault in connection with a stabbing.
That's according to our media partner, the Madisonville Messenger.
Thirty-three-year-old Matthew J. Boyd remains in jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
Investigators say he was asked to leave a home on Legion Drive in October. That's when officers say he got into a fight with 22-year old Jeffery Carter and stabbed him multiple times causing critical injuries.
If the case goes to court and Boyd is found guilty, he could face 10 to 20 years in prison.
