Dump truck flips; driver hurt

A dump truck driver from Greenville was hurt Wednesday morning when he lost control and flipped over.

Kentucky State Police say 29-year-old Thomas Blyler, of Greenville, KY, was operating a 1990 International dump truck eastbound on US 62 approximately five miles east of Dawson Springs when the passenger side tires dropped off the eastbound shoulder of the roadway.

Troopers say Blyler attempted to steer the vehicle back onto the roadway, but overcorrected and lost control.  It overturned and came to rest upright on the westbound shoulder of the roadway.   Troopers say he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

He was taken by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment.  Blyler was cited to court for  Operating CMV without a CDL, No Medical Certificate in Driver’s Possession, Operating CMV without Periodic Inspection, and No Fire Extinguisher.
