Trucker hurt after Pennyrile wreck

An Illinois trucker was hurt Sunday night after his semi went off the road and tipped over.

Kentucky State Police say it happened around 8 p.m. on the Pennyrile Parkway, about a mile north of Morton’s Gap.

Troopers say Christopher R. Hause, 37, of Decatur, IL, was operating a 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer northbound when he went off the right shoulder of the roadway.  The tractor-trailer traveled behind a guardrail and into a ditch striking an earth embankment.  It came to rest facing north off the roadway with the trailer on its side.

Hause was transported via ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment.  He was wearing a seatbelt.
