Muhlenberg County: Limit water usage | News
Due to the recent heat and drought conditions Muhlenberg County officials are asking the citizens to voluntarily limit their water usage and refrain from all non essential water use.
Examples of these non essential uses are watering lawns and gardens, car washing, filling swimming pools, etc. This precautionary request is to help preserve water and to keep water sources used at a minimum so more drastic measures do not have to be implemented.
Officials say they are doing everything possible including tie-ins with other counties to keep out water output at its maximum, but with current drought conditions and lower river and lake levels it is difficult to keep up with the demands of water use.
They are asking all citizens of Muhlenberg County to help this situation by conserving water and being good stewards of water.
