Traffic stop leads to arrest on drug charges for KY woman

MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE)- A Friday traffic stop by Kentucky State Police turns into the arrest of the driver on felony drug charges.

State police say on Friday around 5:35 p.m. on N. Main Street in Greenville, troopers pulled over a 1994 BMW passenger car for traffic
violations. They say the driver, 30-year-old Jessi A. Abshire, was cited for those
violations. 

During the course of the traffic stop, troopers has reason to believe that controlled substances were located
inside the vehicle. A search found that about 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine,
marijuana, items used to ingest and distribute controlled substances, and
prescription medication was found in the vehicle. 

Abshire was then lodged at the Muhlenberg
County Detention Center for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st
Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine.
