School board members sworn in; recognized | News

Board attorney Keith Cartwright administered the Oath of Office to new Board of Education member Shannon Embry and returning members Suzanne Duncan and Randy Franklin during a meeting Monday night,

Franklin was re-elected to serve as board chairman for 2013. Mike Morgan will be vice chairman.

In a related matter, January is Kentucky’s School Board Member Recognition Month. The following statement was read during the meeting:

“The staff appreciates our board members’ dedication, leadership and continuing service to the students and staff of Hopkins County Schools. We invite the district staff and community to join us in honoring our board members, Ms. Suzanne Duncan, Mr. Shannon Embry, Mr. Steve Faulk, Mr. Randy Franklin and Mr. Mike Morgan.”
