Update: One killed, two hurt in Hopkins County crash | News
A Hopkins County man has died following a head-on collision in Hopkins County Wednesday morning.
The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department says a 17-year-old driver from Hanson was behind the wheel of a 2000 Plymouth Neon on Stagecoach Road about 11:40 when he struck a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by 75-year-old Luann Haywood of Hanson.
Haywood and her passenger, 55-year-old David Haywood, were taken by ambulance to Baptist Health where they were reported in stable condition Wednesday afternoon. However, David Haywood died from his injuries on Thursday.
The teenager was taken to the hospital by private car for treatment of a minor foot injury.
