A camping trailer wound up on its side but no one was hurt Sunday afternoon after a car slid on a slick Pennyrile Parkway near Hanson and crashed into a guardrail, bounced off and struck a pickup truck he was trying to pass.
Troopers say Michael Easley, 58 of Crofton, KY, was attempting to pass Bill Harkrader, 49 of Sumner, IL, who was also traveling southbound in a Dodge pickup truck pulling the trailer. Easley’s vehicle began to hydroplane, striking the guardrail on the west shoulder, then re-entered the roadway striking Harkrader’s truck, which entered the median causing the camping trailer to roll onto its side.
Everyone involved was wearing their seat belt and no injuries were reported.
