Despite the rain, Madisonville residents still celebrate Good Friday | News
Rain didn't keep Madisonville residents from celebrating Good Friday.
Friday marked the 34th Annual Inter-Faith Community Good Friday service at Christ Holiness Church.
Mayor David Jackson and United Way Executive Director, Chip Tate were on hand to celebrate the service.
"For 34 years, we have been meeting at this church to share and to bring togehter people of all faiths for the inter-demoninational service," says Tim Thomas. "This year we're excited because we have such a cross-section of the community participating that we feel this is going to be one of our best services."
"We have a lot of business leaders that are represented here," says Mayor Jackson. "Community leaders, leaders of our Civic organizations who have come together for this Good Friday service. It just shows solidarity of our community to come together on a day like this."
