KSP Madisonville Post: Twice as many traffic deaths so far in 2013 | News
There have been twice as many fatalities on roads in the Kentucky State Police Post 2 district so far this year compared to 2012 according to data released by KSP.
There were four fatal crashes that resulted in the loss of six lives reported in the Post 2 District in March 2013. A triple-fatality crash and a single-fatality crash occurred in Christian County. Single-fatality crashes also occurred in Hopkins and Muhlenberg Counties.
Through March 31, 2013, there have been ten fatal crashes that resulted in the loss of 12 lives reported in the Post 2 District: five victims were not wearing seatbelts, two victims were wearing seatbelts, and the seatbelt status of five victims is not known.
Through March 31, 2012, six people had been killed in six crashes in the Post 2 District.
Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 2 arrested 41 impaired drivers and issued 782 speeding tickets in March of 2013.
Data released Monday by KSP also showed 237 criminal arrests. Here’s the rundown:

*Made 237 Criminal Arrests
